Feelings about Korra

okay I want to first state that I will not moan and groan about this TOO much just this one bitch session

okay so everything I saw for Korra was all BROOOOS, BROOOOOOOOOOS, BROS EVERYWHERE, BROS FOREVER

and I really liked that because a lot of kids shows put too much value on “YOU MUST HAVE A GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND” and stuff like that so a show ALL ABOUT BROS would just really please me because I like bros in general ANYWAY

but then suddenly there were clips/screenshots of Korra being like OH NO THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT ME ~LIKING~ MAKO and being all redfaced when he shows up and then that one screenshot where they’re kissing and I just

I’m disappointed I guess? I really loved the Mako/Bolin broship and what looked like the Korra/Mako/Bolin broship but now there’s romance and I wish there wasn’t

part of me is also like “wow can you not justify a main lady character unless she’s a love interest?” though the Avatar team isn’t usually like that (I’d argue Toph, but yeah right like anyone’s going to give the non-main-character blind girl a love interest on a popular tv show). idk, I just really wish everything was bros and not OOH ROMANCE. I’m not articulating well. I’m totally open to discussion over this so long as it’s polite.
